Guy Routledge has teamed up with Shoreditch Film Training to provide practical, hands on experience for beginner and intemediate filmmakers wanting to work in the camera department.

 

Guy will also provide 1-on-1 training on your own equipment or equipment of your choice.

The course is structured over two days to provide time to learn the basics of camera settings and uses including focus, iris, white balance, audio setup, panning, tilting, zooming, hand-holding, tracking and craning. These will then be put into practice via a series of real-world scenarios including interview setups and lighting, documentary style shooting and finally single camera cinematic drama.

 

The course will focus on the Sony EX1 tapeless camera system but an overview of other common cameras and formats will be given.

 

Who is it for?: Those looking to become trainee/ assistant camera operators and those looking to shoot their own projects.

1-on-1 Training

 

For those requiring more specific training, Guy offers bespoke 1-on-1 training on your own equipment or a camera of your choice. Training will be focused on specific areas that you want to learn or improve on. That might be understanding and using manual functions, post-production workflow, shooting styles or simply setting up and executing the best shot.

 

Cost: 320ukp per day or 200ukp for half day when providing your own equipment.
